There’s always plenty to do when you take a break in one of our holiday cottages in South Wales. There are miles of rugged cliffs, rocky coves and sandy beaches to explore around the Pembrokeshire Coast, almost all of it a National Park. And from our cottages in South Wales you can also explore the beautiful Wye Valley. The romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey are a must see here. Then there’s the Gower Peninsula, which boasts one of Britain’s most picturesque coastlines and a succession of glorious beaches.
A visit to Cardiff is an essential part of any South Wales cottage holiday. Among its many attraction are its ornate castle, some fascinating museums and the new Millennium Stadium. Swansea too has much to offer the visitor, including the Swansea Museum and the Dylan Thomas Centre. And don’t miss St. Davids, Britain’s smallest city, which boasts Wales’ largest cathedral.
Our South Wales cottages are also within easy reach of the new National Botanic Gardens of Wales, featuring a stunning glasshouse designed by Sir Norman Foster. And at the Mining Museum of Wales in Blaenaefon, you can make the descent into the old coal mine and tour the underground workings.
