Our holiday cottages in Cambridgeshire are ideally placed to discover both the natural and man-made beauties of this county of the fens, with its stunning skyscapes and dramatic sunsets. There are several nature reserves here, with a wide variety of wildlife for you to enjoy.
One of our Cambridgeshire cottage holidays is the ideal opportunity to pay a visit to the famous university town of Cambridge. Who could fail to recognise the sight of King’s College Chapel rising above the river Cam? Other famous sights include the Bridge of Sighs linking the buildings of St John’s College and the library building designed by Sir Christopher Wren for Trinity College. Hire a punt and take a leisurely journey along the Backs to see Cambridge at its very best, then stop off for tea at Grantchester on your way home.
To the north, the ancient town of Ely is set on an “island” in the middle of the fens. The town is dominated by its huge cathedral. On a misty morning it seems to float like an ocean liner on the surrounding countryside. Also worth a visit is Huntingdon, birthplace of Oliver Cromwell whose controversial life is documented in the museum here that bears his name.

Travelling to or from Ireland? Don't forget the ferry! Not only does it give you
the freedom of taking your own car but it provides a superb experience of travelling
by sea and exploring the coastline. With convenient routes between Holyhead and Dublin, or Pembroke and Rosslare, we recommend
Irish Ferries for great, low-cost, transport. They are the leading Irish ferry company and provide both an excellent service, and excellent prices.
