Each property boasts an individual patio within the shared landscaped garden and views towards the river channel, half a mile distant, where, occasionally, large ships glide past on their way to the port of Boston – less than 4 miles away and home to a popular weekly market, varied shopping, restaurants and takeways amidst its Georgian streets. This is a lovely area for cycling on quiet lanes, bird watching and walking on the coastal paths, fishing and visiting ancient windmills. Skegness and Mablethorpe offer sandy beaches and seaside fun, and seal sanctuaries, the Battle of Britain museum, Spalding bulb fields, Tattershall Castle (N.T.) and Woodhall Spa are easily accessible. Lincoln is 40 miles. Converted to provide a carbon neutral environment, Envirobarns have many fascinating energy saving features in their design and management which the owners will be happy to explain

We were looking for a "bolt hole" away from busy city life and we found it. Very peaceful! Perfect accommodation especially the kitchen. We have been made very welcome. Good cycling countryside. A visit to Frampton Nature Reserve is a must. The lilies are lovely.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
