Iron Age hill forts, great houses and gardens, charming market towns, Fleet Air Arm and motor museums, and fossil hunting on the World Heritage coast are all within easy reach. Superb walking can be enjoyed from the door. Shops 2 miles, pub 1.5 miles

Reviews
The location is perfect. Short drive or lovely walk into Sherborne. The cottage has everything you could ever want and has stunning views. It was peaceful and quiet. The rooms in the cottage were spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. We looked forward to going back after a long walk. The owner was very kind and extremely helpful. 10 out of 10 for the holiday.

Sherborne is a market town in Dorset, England. It is located on the River Yeo not far from Oborne, Folke, Milborne Wick, Yetminster, Yeovil, and Bishops Caundle and is one of over 130 towns and villages in Dorset in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Wells (population 10,406), Bristol (population 420,556), and Salisbury (which has a population of 43,355 according to the 2001 Census).
The major A30 route connecting London with the South West passes through Sherborne, making it very easy to access. Thw town also had good rail access with its own station. Sherborne is famous for its historic buildings including Sherborne Abbey, a manor house, two castles and the well known independent schools. An ochre coloured ham stone is used in the construction of many of the famous medieval and Georgian buildings in the old town, which gives the town's architecture its distinctive appearance.
